Barry Drake

It was all about Gonzo at Youghal track on Monday night. The exciting June puppy producing a sensational winning performance in race eight, an A3.

After showing plenty of promise in a few previous outings, the son of Laughil Blake-Rushmoorbeatrice put it all together with a runaway winning performance.
Just making the corner in front, Rian Crotty's well-backed 6-4 winner then took off. Flying down the back straight, he quickly put the race to bed. Powering up the home straight, the exciting June puppy came home with five and a half lengths to spare over Ardera Wee Sal, in a top-class 28.88.

DOESN'T HAPPEN TOO OFTEN
Breaking 29 seconds around Youghal doesn't happen too often and this youngster looks to have a bright future ahead.
