The Carrignavar kennel of Michael O'Callaghan was in double form in Youghal on Wednesday night.
Dunbar Ace (Scolari Me Daddy-Boleys Ace) putting on a superb front running display to win race four. Quickest into stride, the 7-1 outsider of the field made all the running to win. Witches Suzy held every chance on the home straight but the winner scored by a neck, in 29.30.
Two races later, Dunbar Dazl (Razldazl Billy-Satin Diva) impressed when battling well to make it two wins in his last three starts. Quick away, he was soon passed by Seaview Wollie, but the 4-1 winner came back for more to win. A length winner, in 17.80.
STRONG FINISH FROM HOLLYHILL
Hollyhill Honey (Zero Ten-Cronody Sophie) denied Michael O'Callaghan a treble in race 10.
The 7-2 chance produced her customary strong late finish to deny Dunbar King, by a length, in 29.72.
THREE STRAIGHT WINS FOR TIPP
Slaneyside Tipp (Makeshift-Slaneyside Mona) made it three straight wins in race seven.
Owned by Derek Kehoe, Thurles, the 4-1 chance kept on best to beat the fast-finishing Bull Marker. Half a length between them, in 29.39.
Nellies Boss (Tullymurry Act-Nellies Flyer) made it back to back wins in race eight.
Owned by Kate O'Driscoll, Killeagh, the 3-1 winner took over shortly after the opening corner as Lads Blackberry went wrong. Staying on well, he beat Knockglass Sandy, by two lengths, in 29.30.
IN OTHER RACES
Hollyhill Alfie (Zero Ten-Deercrest Lady) powered home to win race 11. Owned by Ger Gubbins, Fermoy, the 11-4 chance won, in 29.26, which was quickest on the night. A very classy performance from the impressive winner.
Canvas Paddy (Sir Paddy-Shanakill Lady) came home well to win race nine. Owned by Carmel Kelleher, Killeagh, the 8-1 winner landed the spoils, in 29.98. Shebeen Jet Ski two lengths down at the line.
Lagile Sky (Taylors Sky-Paradise Havanna) made it two wins from three career outings in the opener. Owned by Ted Lawton, Killeagh, the 5-2 chance was quickest into stride and held the strong late run of Stunning Jamie. A length between them, in 29.81.
Tooswiftoocatch (Scolari Me Daddy-Go Hawk) proved too strong in the second. Trained by Patrick Cullinane for Robert Cullinane, Ballymacoda, the 9-4 chance took over from Our Mols Melody at the second last bend. Staying on well, he scored by two and a half lengths, in 29.70.
Whitty Bullet (Romeo Recruit-Whitty Lisa) applied front running tactics to win race three. Owned by Richard Whitley, Whites Cross, the 5-1 chance made all to beat Our Mols Melody. Two and a half lengths between them, in 29.70.
The reserve Dungarvan Aglow (Royal Impact-Millbank Swallow) showed nice gears to win race five. In front at opening corner, the 7-2 chance beat Millview Mason, by five and a half lengths, in 29.61, to win for Martin Power, Dungarvan.
In the closing race, Flomur Darragh (Tullymurry Act-Flomur Pearla), trained by John Kiely for Tomas Leahy, Ballymacoda, and justified favouritism. Prominent throughout, the even-money favourite, pulled out all the stops to deny the fast-finishing Witches Stacy. Half a length between them in 29.95.
