Jen has shared a wonderful family memory, a Cox Cup 1-2 for her grandad.
Jen has been sharing some nuggets from the Traynor archives and this one is something her grandfather always spoke of, the night he landed not just first place but a 1-2 in the 1992 Cox Cup in Newbridge.

Jen has found the Greyhound Review report of the race at the time:
Peter Traynor has handled a lot of good dogs in his time but I doubt if he ever previously experienced anything to rival that memorable June night at Newbridge when he produced not alone the winner of the Cox Cup but the runner up also!
There was a prize of £3,000 on offer for the Cox Cup and Traynor got both Lodgefield Gold and Lodgefield Lady through to the decider. They proceeded to produce a great race for the big crowd and it was Lodgefield Gold who led home his kennel companion by a couple of lengths in a sizzling 28:09.
