It’s with real sadness we note the passing of Martin Ryan, or Muncher as he was known to his many friends, in recent days.
Muncher was a regular at Kilcohan Park for many years and was a hugely popular character. His greatest success as an owner came back in 1992 when winning the McAlmont Cup with Fast Arrow, a smashing bitch trained by his great friend Billy Rickard. Known as a great storyteller and punter, his presence will be a real loss to the sport and he will be missed by all that knew him.
We send on our sincerest condolences to his wife Nancy, his children Jean and Martin, his grandchildren Lilly, Evan and Holly, his extended family and to his many, many friends.
May he Rest In Peace.

Due to Government and H.S.E. advice and guidelines regarding public gatherings and to protect our most vulnerable family members and our friends, a private family funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 11th, at 12 noon, in Ballybricken Church, followed by private cremation. We look forward to meeting everyone at a Memorial Service at a later date.
