Two of Paul Kiely’s brightest inmates Jet Stream View and Jetstream Moment are to join Katie O’Flaherty across the water with a view to challenging for the upcoming Golden Jacket at Crayford.

The Mick Freshwater owned pair have some high-profile form with Jet Stream View, in particular, capable of making waves in the valuable eight bend event.

The former Newbridge 750yd track record holder has been in tremendous form in recent weeks over the standard trip and a return to staying distances should suit. The last time she was seen over six bends she finished a close third to another intended Golden Jacket runner, Redzer Ardfert, in the Michael Fortune Night of Stars 750.

Jetstream Moment recent finished a wonderful second to Are Nagini in the Shelbourne Open Marathon over 1025yds and the 714m test at Crayford should be a like a stroll in the park for her.

Kiely said of the decision to send the pair over to Crayford, “She’s [Jet Stream View] running out her season and is bouncing. She has enough four bend speed to race prominently and the trip shouldn’t be a problem for her. I think she’ll run the place well. [Jetstream] Moment will stay forever and will stay with Katie [O’Flaherty] as there are more opportunities in the UK for marathon dogs.

“The plan is for View to come back to me after the competition and, in time, I’d be looking forward to breeding her. She’s well-bred and is from a great litter.”

We wish both Paul and Mick Freshwater the best with the pair.
