SHEA HITS THE CROSSBAR

Armagh owner/ trainer Shea Campbell had a great few days last week when he only missed out on a five-timer when Stefans King finished second, beaten less than a length in a contest at Drumbo Park on Saturday.

Shea kicked off at Shelbourne on Friday night with Fayes Jet clocking a brilliant 28.66 in a heat of the BoyleSports A3/4. Later Robbies Pappadum carried the Campbell colours to victory in a heat of the Gold Collar when winning in 29.95 for the 550 yards.

The Campbell team moved to Drumbo then on Saturday when kennel star Stefans Lad won an open 525 by four lengths from Express Finish in a flying 28.35. Later on the card Stefans Gizmo won an S3 335 in 18,07.

It certainly was the ideal way for the Campbell kennels to bring the curtain down on 2018. Well done.
