BADMINTON DONAL TO JOIN HUTTON KENNELS

BADMINTON DONAL TO JOIN HUTTON KENNELS

Peter Farrell

After last weekend’s sparkling performance in the opening round of the ‘James Horan Memorial A3/A4 525’ at Galway, Badminton Donal has been sold and will join Kevin Hutton in the UK.

Jointly owned by David McGrath and Donal Murphy, Badminton Donal showed a glimpse of his early potential after recording 18.95 in his debut appearance at Limerick when only sixteen months. His reputation grew at the tail end of June with a smart 18.77 spin around Shelbourne Park but it was last Saturday where ‘Donal’ really set tongues wagging when he clocked a brilliant 28.49 around the tough Galway circuit. Bred in the purple from a dam line that has produced Classic winning greyhounds, it will come as no surprise if the son of ‘Ballymac Vic - Badminton Tyche’ is spearheading Hutton’s classic charge in the months to come.
