ALICE PRODUCES TUCO’S FIRST LITTER

ALICE PRODUCES TUCO’S FIRST LITTER

Michael Fortune

Skywalker Tuco, the brilliant winner of the 2018 Rural Hawaii Open Unraced Stake at Clonmel, has his first litter of pups on the ground.

We hear from Brendan O’Neill that Tuco’s first litter arrived last weekend and the five dogs and four bitches are making good progress.

His first bitch was Skywalker Alice, a finalist in the 2014 GMHD Juvenile Classic at Tralee. Originally known as Drive On Alice she went through the Healthcare & Transport Services Puppy Oaks unbeaten at Shelbourne with a sequence of times; 28.52, 28.45, 28.42 and 28.61.

She only ran two other races, winning the first round of the Munster Oaks at Waterford in 28.53 and was then injured when knocked over in the semi-final.

This is Alice’s fourth litter and among her promising produce are Skywalker Wonder and Winetavern Don. Incidentally, we hear that Skywalker Rossa has come in season and she will be mated to Skywalker Tuco.
