Despite the absence of his perceived number one candidate Knight Rocker, Navan trainer Ollie Bray still collected the €3,000 prize for the DGOBA Gold Collar at Shelbourne on Friday when Brides Honey ran out a convincing winner of the prize.

It was a very tight run to the bend with a few lengths covering the six runners. The two Paul Hennessy runners Boylesports Boom and Budgie Marbh were involved in crowding and Cuil King led into the back from Brides Honey and Fast Fit Act.

Cuil King just led into the third bend but the Mark Geraghty and Larry Clancy owned Brides Honey (Tullymurry Act/ Groupie Doll) flew to the bend around the bend. Despite drifting very wide into the straight Brides Honey flew home by five and a half lengths from Cuil King in 30.06 with Fast Fit Act another three lengths third.

The supporting BoyleSports A3/4 final was won in style by Ravenswood Lewis (Lauhil Blake/ Ravenswood May) as he led from the opening bend and won by three lengths from Locnamon Diva in 29.09. The winner is trained by Ger Barber for Derek Hatch.
