The Irish Greyhound Board (IGB) has given consideration to the plan published yesterday by Government. The effort to combat Covid 19 is an ever changing situation and whilst there is some further clarity required the following will apply for race meetings at IGB stadia from today until Monday next:
100 outdoor general admissions will be permitted with management arrangements in place to ensure the maximum of 50 people indoor at any one time is not exceeded.
All general admissions must be booked in advance online at gogreyhoundracing.ie or through the IGB Sales & Reservation Centre on 061 448080. Youghal customers can book direct with the office.
A fast food offering will be available at tracks. Restaurants will not open at this point. Bar facilities (excluding Shelbourne Park in accordance with national requirements) are permitted to operate from Monday 21st Sept next. Limited Tote and bookmaker facilities will be available.
There will be no general admissions or restaurant admissions available for the Irish Greyhound Derby 2020 Final at Shelbourne Park on Saturday next. Particular issues arise currently in operating at a Dublin venue and available capacity will be prioritised towards connections of greyhounds running on the night.
The overall situation will be reviewed on Monday next when further detail is available.
