The Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Team are running a fundraiser at Kilkenny Greyhound Track on Friday December 14th.

Committee member Aine Connery is pictured launching this event with Kilkenny hurlers DJ Carey, Jackie Tyrell, Richie Power & Richie Hogan. There is a very active committee behind this event and it promises to be a fabulous night of racing with no fewer than ten sponsored sweepstakes to be run in conjunction with the night.

The first of these sweepstakes will be the Pauline Lennon Memorial A3/4 525 which starts on Friday week, November 23rd. It will be for 36 greyhounds and has a winner’s prize of €2,500. There is a long and attractive list of door and raffle prizes to be given out on the night also.

One of the highlights of the night will be an auction for an extremely well -bred three month old dog pup by Ballymac Vic out of Lemon Lucy.

From just two litters to date, Lemon Lucy has already produced some top class trackers such as track record holder Kilmore Lemon, Doggy McDogface, Pudgie Budgie, Foyle Lucy, Lemon Noah, Lemon Sydney & Lemon Hazel. This really is a tremendous prospect and should generate plenty of interest on the night. The pup is kindly donated by Dinny Lennon.

Tickets for the night as well as advertising space for the programme are now on sale and anyone interested in supporting this very worthwhile cause can contact Kilkenny Track on 056 7721214.
