Southfield Billy produced a stand out display in the second round of the Bar One Racing Easter Unraced Stake at Enniscorthy on Thursday evening.

Trained by Paddy Kehoe for Mark Gilbert, the son of Forest Con and Droopys Elite edged inwards at boxes but had enough early dash to clear his rivals.

Once turning in front, brindle was in a class of his own. Increasing his lead over Indian Rouge into the third turn, Southfield Billy continued to pile on the pressure up the run in to score by seven lengths in a rapid 29.07.

Liam Butlers Salah Be Slick continued the unbeaten start to his career in the third heat. Coming away on terms from trap five, the son of Droopys Roddick and Malteaser found himself with room to race in the early yards and he quickly moved into the driving seat. Making every inch, Salah Be Slick ran out a three length winner over Piercestown Mist in 29.27.

John Turner’s Jaytee Duke was too strong for his rivals in Heat 3 despite drifting off the fence at the turn. Newinn Busty moved to the front at this point and led passing halfway but Jaytee Duke was too quick for the leader into the third turn.

Moving to the front, the Paul Hennessy trained Jaytee Duke eased away to win by a length and a half from Blackbell Lucy in 29.58.

The remaining heat saw the Garry Dempsey trained Ballymac Noway make all after a fast start from trap three. Johnny Donohoe’s son of Ballymac Vic and Droopys Casey ran out a comfortable four and a half length winner over Blind Stew in 29.54.
