2019 GREYHOUND AWARDS AT TRALEE

The 2019 Greyhound Awards, kindly sponsored by Kingdom Greyhound Stadium Supporters Club and the Kerry Owners & Breeders Association will take place at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium this Saturday night, January 18th.

Awards will be presented to winners of the following categories:

DOG OF THE YEAR

Anascaul Blackie, owned by Paddy Ferriter o Anascaul with 13 wins from 38 races

BITCH OF THE YEAR

Tokenfire Abbie, owned by Seamus Cooper of Rathmore with 11 wins from 22 races

OWNER OF THE YEAR

Donal G. O’Mahony from Millstreet with 89 wins from 432 races

PUBLIC TRAINER OF THE YEAR

Patrick O’Connor from Tarbert with 64 wins from 271 races

PRIVATE TRAINER OF THE YEAR

Gerard Dowling from Listowel with 57 wins from 262 races

Also being announced on the night will be the Hall of Fame award winner, which commenced last year and proved to be a very popular award with local trainer Johnny Kelly being last year’s recipient.

Saturday night’s 10 race program will also contain a number of mini sweep finals and races kindly sponsored by the KGOBA and KGSSC and complimentary finger food will be provided on the night. First race at 7.44 pm.
