Irish Greyhound Laurels

2019 Irish Laurels

Congratulations to the connections of Rockybay Foley, our 2019 Irish Laurels Champion.

A huge crowd gathered here at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium to witness local greyhound Rockybay Foley became Irish Laurels champion for the second year in a row.

The win saw Foley earn €30,000 for connections, including owner Chrissie Slyne (Minane Bridge) and trainer Kieran Lynch (Tracton). As a four-year-old, Foley is the first ‘veteran’ winner of a Classic in a number of years.

This year’s event was supported by the ‘Friends and Supporters of Cork Greyhound Racing’ group, led by legendary GAA figure Jimmy Barry Murphy in the first of a four year agreement.

Thank you to all involved in the Friends and Supporters of Cork Greyhound Racing group for their sponsorship and support.
